Following the completion of his PhD fellowship in cardiovascular surgery from Bakulev Institute, Dr. Yugal Mihra returned to India in 1991 and joined Escorts Heart Institute and Research Centre in New Delhi.

Dr. Yugal Mihra initiated the robotic cardiac surgery program at Escorts Heart Institute in December 2002 and has since performed 500 robotic cardiac cases, achieving excellent results.
