He continued his pursuit of medical knowledge by completing his Master of Medicine (MD) in Medicine from Baba Raghavdas Medical College, Gorakhpur, in 2002.
Driven by a passion for nephrology, Dr. Upadhyay further specialized in the field and obtained his Doctorate of Medicine (DM) in Nephrology from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, in 2008. His training at AIIMS provided him with comprehensive expertise in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of kidney-related disorders.
Throughout his career, Dr. B.K. Upadhyay has held several key positions in esteemed medical institutions, demonstrating his commitment to providing high-quality patient care and advancing the field of nephrology. He served as a Senior Resident in Nephrology at SGPGI, Lucknow, from 2004 to 2005 and as a Senior Resident at RML Hospital from 2002 to 2003.
Dr. Upadhyay’s expertise in nephrology has been further honed through his roles as a Consultant Nephrologist at Fortis Escorts Hospital from 2008 to 2010 and at Sarvodaya Hospital from 2010 to 2015. During these appointments, he played a crucial role in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of kidney-related disorders, including chronic kidney disease, glomerular diseases, and renal transplantation.
In 2015, Dr. B.K. Upadhyay assumed the position of Senior Consultant in Nephrology & Transplant Medicine at the Asian Institute Of Medical Sciences, where he continued to provide exemplary care to his patients.
